Portions: Matthew 13 - 15

That same day
Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake.
Such large crowds gathered around Him
that He got into a boat and sat in it,
while all the people stood on the shore.
Then He told them many things in parables . . .
(Matthew 13:1-3)

And He directed the people to sit down on the grass.
Taking the five loaves and two fish
and looking up to heaven,
He gave thanks and broke the loaves.
Then He gave them to the disciples,
and the disciples gave them to the people.
(Matthew 14:19)

He told the crowd to sit down on the ground.
Then He took the seven loaves and the fish,
and when He had given thanks,
He broke them and gave them to the disciples,
and they in turn to the people.
(Matthew 15:35-36)
