Portions: John 15 - 18

"I am the true vine,
and My Father is the gardener.
He cuts off every branch in Me that bears no fruit,
while every branch that does bear fruit
He prunes so that it will be even more fruitful."
(John 15:1-2)

"If the world hates you,
keep in mind that it hated Me first.
If you belonged to the world,
it would love you as its own.
As it is, you do not belong to the world,
but I have chosen you out of the world.
That is why the world hates you."
(John 15:18-19)

". . . the Father Himself love you
because you have loved Me
and have believed that I came from God.
I came from the Father
and entered the world;
now I am leaving the world
and going back to the the Father."
"I have told you these things,
so that in Me you may have peace.
In this world you will have trouble.
But take heart!
I have overcome the world."
(John 16:27-28;33)

"All I have is Yours,
and all You have is Mine."
(John 17:10)

Jesus said, "My kingdom is not of this world.
If it were, My servants would fight to prevent
My arrest by the Jews.
But now My kingdom is from another place."
(John 18:36)
