AC 6303 - "And God shall be with you." (Genesis 48:21)

AC 6303
And God shall be with you.
(Genesis 48:21)
. . . this signifies the Divine providence of the Lord,
. . . for when the Lord is with anyone,
He leads him, and provides that all things which happen,
whether sad or joyful, befall him for good:
this is the Divine providence.
The reason why it is called the providence "of the Lord"
is that it is said, "God shall be with you,"
and by "God" and by "Jehovah" in the Word is meant the Lord,
for there is no other God besides Him;
for He is the very Father
and He is the very Son,
for they are one;
the Father is in Him,
and He in the Father, as He Himself teaches

Jesus answered:
"Don't you know me, Philip,
even after I have been among you such a long time?
Anyone who has seen Me
has seen the Father.
How can you say,
'Show us the Father'?
Don't you believe that I am in the Father,
and that the Father is in Me?
The words I say to you are not just My own.
Rather, it is the Father, living in Me,
who is doing His work.
Believe Me when I say
that I am in the Father
and the Father is in Me;
or at least believe on the evidence
of the miracles themselves."
(John 14:9-11)
