... "to be slain" means in the Word to perish by falsities and evils.
But spiritually the Lord is said "to be slain" when the truth from Him is denied
and the good from Him is rejected;
with these the Lord is also not acknowledged,
for he who denies and rejects what is from Him,
denies and rejects Him also,
for the the Lord is with man in his truths and goods.
