AE 790 - The Opening of the Spiritual Mind

In the Word there are truths
that are to be known and thought,
and goods that must be willed and done;
therefore it is by these goods and these truths
that person's spiritual mind is opened and formed.

. . . a person is not a person from his parents,
but from the Lord,
of whom he is born and created anew.

. . . charity and faith act as one,
like will and understanding;
and that such as the charity is
such is the faith.
But these are in the natural mind;
but in the spiritual mind
there is the love of good in place of charity,
and the perception of truth in the place of faith.
