AE 768 - "The Born of God", "Seed", 'Offspring"

AE 768 [4, 9]

. . . "the born of God" means
those who are regenerated by the Lord
by means of Divine truth,
and a life according thereto.

They are the seed of the blessed of Jehovah,
and their offspring with them.
(Isaiah 65:23)

This, also, is said of the church from the Lord;
and "the seed of the blessed of Jehovah"
means those who will receive Divine truth from the Lord;
and "their offspring," those who live according to it;
but in the sense abstracted from persons,
which is the genuine spiritual sense,
"seed" means Divine truth,
and "offspring," a life according to it.
