AE 431 - the order of the twelve tribes

Here two arcana respecting the twelve tribes shall be mentioned:

(1) Their arrangements represented
the arrangements of the angelic societies in the heavens;
and for this reason
they represented all things of the church,
for heaven and the church act as one.

(2) The representation of heaven and of the church
is determined according to the order
in which the tribes are named;
and the first name or the first tribe
is the guide that determines the things that follow,
and accordingly the things of heaven and of the church,
with variations.
