And I saw another angel ascending from the rising of the sun,
(Revelation 7:2)
signifies the Divine love going forth from the Lord.
This is evident from the signification of "angel,"
as being something Divine proceeding from the Lord;
for "angel" in the Word means,
in the nearest sense, an entire angelic society,
but in a general sense "angel" signifies
everyone who receives Divine truth in doctrine and life;
while in the highest sense "angel" signifies
something Divine proceeding from the Lord,
and in particular Divine truth . . .
